Online matches are turn-based, so you don’t need to play at the same time. No human opponent after 10 minutes? Twister Bot can finish an eligible match while the app is open or when you return.
Good to know
Start with 10 points per letter. An incorrect Check costs 5 points; a Clue or Reveal costs 10; every 10 seconds costs 1. A correct final Check wins without an extra check penalty. The round ends at zero, so every good guess and quick decision counts.
If the entire title is correct, you win. Otherwise, correctly placed letters turn green and lock in place. An incorrect check costs 5 points, including when no letters are correct.
A Clue offers available context about the title, such as a genre or year. It costs 10 points and is unavailable when there is no clue data. A Reveal fills and locks a random unsolved spot; it uses one Reveal and costs 10 points.
Yes. Single Player lets you play on your own. In online play, an unmatched game becomes eligible for Twister Bot after 10 minutes; the app processes it while open or when a player returns.
Both players get the same puzzle, clues, and scoring rules. The higher submitted score wins. In new online matches, a human opponent has 24 hours after joining to submit; quitting or missing that deadline counts as a forfeit. Older matches keep their original rules.
The round ends when your score reaches zero. Correctly locked letters help you make progress, but checks, assistance, and elapsed time all affect the points you have left.
Single Player does not require an online opponent. Online play uses Game Center and iCloud. New online progress belongs to your iCloud account; existing device progress stays separate.
Track your results, earn coins and experience, and build your daily streak. Coins can buy Reveal refills or a fresh tile theme. New online progress uses iCloud; existing device balances remain separate. See Player Support for wallet recovery and purchase help.
